[21/7] Science Assignment

I've briefed you on your task on the yellow paper.
Here's the details...

Aim: To remove the thumbtacks from a glass of water without wetting the hands
Given items: Steel thumbtacks (10 pieces), string, straw, a bar magnet and a glass of water.

Think of a simple way to remove the thumbtacks without getting your hands wet. (You need not use all the materials.)

Draw diagrams to help in your problem-solving. You may even want to do a comic strip to illustration your experiment procedures.

List down the detailed steps taken and the explanation to each step that you've taken. The explanation should bring up the Scientific concepts behind why you are doing what you're doing.
You can do this in a table form.

Feel free to explore different ways to remove the thumbtacks without getting your hands wet. You are allowed to carry out the experiment should you have the items at home.

Bring back this yellow paper tomorrow for class discussion.

  1. Hi Mrs Tan, for the amount of thumbtacks in class you wrote 10 of them so how many thumbtacks should there be?

    Thank you.
