Science Assignment (Due on 13 Sep)

• Your task is to make a simple toy / simple game / useful object using magnets illustrating any concept of magnets that you've learnt in Term 3.
• You can use any materials to make. However there is no need to over-spend to make an elaborated device. 
• Be prepared to present your toy / game / object in Term 4. You will need to share with the class what concepts of Magnet you have used in making it.
• Here are some pictures to give you some ideas. 
• Feel free to post in the "Comments" should you need to clarify anything concerning the assignment.

Other Important Matters & Dates

• Science Spelling on Term 4 Week 2 (20 Sept): Plants and their parts No. 1-10
• Maths Test (5) will be conducted in Term 4 Week 2. Topics covered are Fractions, Angles and Area & Perimeter.
• Term 3 Report Card has been given out. Get Parents' Signature & return when school reopen (13 Sep).
• Maths File has been returned for revision. Get Parents' Signature in the Content Page & Workbook pg 73, 123 & 141.
• Science File has been returned yesterday for revision. Get Parents' Signature in Science Test 2.
• Interaction Activity Book has been returned yesterday for revision.

Get parents' signature on Test 2.
Bring home Science file for revision.
You do not need to bring back next Term so that you can start revising for SA2.

Remember to show all equations, units and final sentence clearly.

You have done pg 159-163 in class today.
Complete the remaining pages (pg 164-166) as homework.
We will go through the answers to selected questions tomorrow.

This is a reminder to be diligent to check for the following in your work:-

• correct units: cm or m?
• finding area or perimeter?
• area = length x breadth
• perimeter = length + length + breadth + breadth
• word problems: show equations, final sentence and correct units.
